During my career I've edited and written hundreds of thousands of words in nearly every medium you can imagine, including newspapers, novels, blogs, articles, non-fiction books and social media posts.

Some of that writing was horrible and some was wonderful. Over the years, I discovered patterns that appear in all good writing and that are missing in all bad writing. The good news is that you can learn how to recreate those patterns.
